  10. With ICS you can make your scans look like from the professionals.
  11. By using ICS scan quality is DRAMATICLY(!) improved without
  12. requiring the user to manualy adjust scan colors while scanning.
  13. ICS can also convert gray/RGB/CMYK images between various formats
  14. (TIFF, JPEG, IFF, PNG,...) and add things like IPTC and ICC
  15. information.

  17. ICS already is directly supported by ScanQuix, ScanTrax and
  18. ImageFX and more.  Other scanner drivers authors will soon add
  19. direct ICS support to their scanner drivers.  But ICS can also
  20. work independent of any specific scanner software using a
  21. stand-alone image file converter.

  24. ICS does work in 3 steps:
  25.  
  26.  - You do scan a calibration target with your scanner software
  27.    and use the incl. ScanTarget programm to create a profile
  28.    for your scanner.
  29.  
  30.  - You do select your monitor or standard (PAL, sRGB, NTSC,...)
  31.    you want to color correct the scan for.
  32.  
  33.  - Now all scans with your scanner software will be color corrected
  34.    automaticly.

  39. Note that the LE version here on AmiNet is crippled because of
  40. license and patent issues.  For the complete software and manuals
